Odyssey

Support Dynamic Email Content in Odyssey

In Odyssey, Dynamic Content for Email elements is now available! This leverages the existing Dynamic Content functionality already available in Email Builder while simplifying the user experience. Once a voyage is published, a new Dynamic Content pleat will display, which enables marketers to create Dynamic Content and the rules that display the content if true. The content can then be inserted into the HTML or text version of the email. Recipients of the email will see the content version associated to a rule if they meet the conditions. If not, they will see the default version of the content. This allows for even further personalization as recipients can receive content that is specific to their location, product membership, and behaviors and marketers can simplify their efforts while creating a more personal relationship with their audience. Add Specific Date Wait Option for Static Voyages

For static voyages, in the wait element Odyssey users can now choose for audience members to wait until a specific date/time before they advance to the next element. This simplifies the voyage creation and prevents users from needing to do math to calculate the number of days, hours or minutes a passenger should wait before receiving the next marketing effort.

External File Validation for Odyssey

Odyssey will now validate external files as they are uploaded so that if a file is missing a Customer Id or Email Address column, duplicate Customer Id or email address columns appear, or the file is in an incorrect format, the Odyssey user will be informed immediately and can resolve the issue.

Help Articles Linked to Each Odyssey Element

Odyssey elements will now contain a link to each element’s Knowledge Base article. This will allow users to have easy access to relevant information about the elements they include in their voyage.

Better Handle Daylight Savings Time

Odyssey elements with date selectors like the schedule, wait, export, filter and form submit elements, will now show the time zone without the daylight savings designator. For example, CDT and CST will display as Central Time. This will prevent confusion if, for example, a voyage is created during daylight savings time and scheduled to deploy after daylight savings time ends. This also allows us to better handle such voyages automatically so all voyages deploy in the intended time zone.
